Intended for young beginners aged 8-14, Pram is intended to be the optimal starting point for one’s CANSail journey. Focusing on the basics of dinghy sailing, sailors in this group will learn how to manoeuvre a boat, read wind direction, and identify the points of sail.

What a day in the Pram sailing program is like
In the Pram program, sailors will start each day by rigging their boats and participating in an on-land lesson.
After the lesson, sailors will spend the rest of the morning on the water in their boats playing games and running drills to help practice the lesson they learned on land.
After lunch, they’ll repeat a similar schedule for the afternoon before ending the day with de-rigging and an end of day debrief.
The program is conducted in a fun, accessible and supportive environment.
What do Pram sailors learn?
Sailors in the Pram sailing program will learn how to manage their boat on their own, figure out where the wind is coming from, trim their sail optimally, traverse around the North-West Arm, and potentially begin to learn about basic racing skills.
